An Invitation

The Goddess Retreat is an invitation to remember, to soften, to reclaim power, and to awaken the timeless feminine wisdom that lives within. Guided by the land of Crete, the lineage of the goddesses, and the shared circle of women, participants are supported in stepping more fully into their authentic feminine essence—rooted, radiant, and alive.

Set on the sacred island of Crete, where ancient myths still breathe through the land, The Goddess Retreat is an immersive journey into the awakening of the Divine Feminine. This retreat invites participants to reconnect with the living archetypes of the Greek goddesses and to embody their energies through nature-based practices, ritual, movement, sound, and deep inner work.

Crete, long considered a cradle of goddess worship, offers the perfect landscape for this initiation. Surrounded by mountains, sea, and sky, we gather in a private hilltop residence with sweeping panoramic views over the island. The space itself holds a powerful, expansive energy, supporting transformation, clarity, and remembrance.

The Journey

Throughout the retreat, we work with the seven Greek goddess archetypes, exploring how their energies live within each participant.

Through guided teachings, experiential practices, and reflective processes, participants will:

• Identify and rank the active goddess energies currently shaping their lives

• Discover the repressed or dormant archetype seeking expression

• Engage in individual pieces of healing work to unlock and integrate this hidden feminine force

The retreat weaves together:

• Nature-based group exercises using natural materials

• Sacred dance and embodied movement

• Sacred music and sound

• Rituals for awakening archetypal feminine energies

• Personal reflection and guided inner journeys

Each day unfolds with a balance of learning, embodiment, ritual, and rest—allowing space for both collective connection and individual integration.

The Residence

Our home for the week is a stunning residence perched high on a hill, offering vast views across Crete. The property features expansive gardens, a swimming pool, and multiple shared spaces designed for comfort and contemplation.

A beautiful outdoor, roofed wooden platform, completely private and overlooking the landscape, serves as our primary practice space. In the unlikely event of bad weather, sessions can move indoors to a warm and welcoming living room, gathered around the fireplace. Late May/early June typically offers ideal conditions for outdoor work.

Accommodation is spread across three houses within the RHEA Residence property, offering mainly shared rooms, as RHEA is a private property and not a hotel. More details are available at: https://www.rhea-residence.com/

Nourishment

All meals are prepared by a local chef using fresh, ecologically sourced ingredients from the region. Each dish is crafted with care, love, and a personal touch, offering not just nourishment but a true cultural experience of Crete. Food becomes part of the ritual—grounding, pleasurable, and deeply supportive of the work.

Sacred Excursion: A Day of Pilgrimage

One full day of the retreat is devoted to a pilgrimage excursion to the Monastery of Chrysoskalitissa, a powerful women’s monastery dating back to the 17th century.

Perched dramatically above the Libyan Sea, this white-walled sanctuary is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, known as Our Lady of the Golden Step

Beneath the visible rituals of the monastery lies a subtle lineage of women who have prayed there quietly over centuries. Their presence feels like an underground river—still alive, still accessible. Entering this space with reverence allows this hidden feminine current to be felt and reawakened.

The pilgrimage continues to the shores near Elafonissi, where time is given for silent reflection by the sea. The waters here carry a powerful cleansing vibration, completing the blessing of the day.

On the way, we will stop at the Cave of Agia Sofia, a sacred and deeply feminine place that offers beautiful preparation for the monastery visit. The cave also has a nearby taverna where we can pause for refreshments.

The excursion involves approximately a two-hour drive each way and includes an outdoor lunch. Arrangements will be made in advance to ensure the nuns welcome our group and allow time for meditation and personal work within the sanctuary.
